Internship Programme

We offer a three-month placement at Shapero Modern’s Maddox Street gallery in the heart of London’s Mayfair.

During your placement you will be assigned a broad range of tasks, working with the whole team, to ensure you gain a thorough understanding of how a gallery like Shapero Modern operates.

These tasks will include:

• Assisting with general gallery administration

• Supervising the gallery space / taking responsibility for the front desk

• Assisting with Private Views and special events

• Writing artists biographies and descriptions; assisting with catalogue text

• Working on social media across all platforms

• Supporting the Gallery Director and Gallery Manager

• Creating materials for exhibitions

Qualifications / Expectations:

• Degree level minimum

• Keen interest in the arts

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Attention to detail

• Familiarity with MS Office expected; Photoshop, and WordPress preferred

• Thinking creatively with the ability to solve problems

• Working well as part of a team

• Excellent time management skills
